Welcome to my blog

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 38
Twas a nice Friday indeed, complete with no shopping trips whatsoever Today’s feast was very simple – I liked it that way. I really havne’t done a whole lot of complex juices during this whole feast. But that really works for me at this point – prior to this juice feast I’d been eating pretty much 100% raw food, but it was all very complex dishes made by the Tree of Life Cafe – amazing and delicious, probably some of the best raw food in the world – but complex nonetheless. I was definitely looking forward to the simplicity of a juice feast, and it has been very satisfactory to have it that way. I am very sure that I’ll be eating simply when I return to food.

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 33
Yesterday was another crazy day – so much has happened this weekend it’s mind blowing. I have transformed more in this last weekend than I ever would have thought possible. It seems like it was ages ago that it was Friday.I had a big blow of some news that came of my family yesterday and it was super intense. I had a little more nibbles on some different food items, so that plus this news gave way to an even deeper trigger and thus healing than the day before. It’s been an amazing weekend of healing in soo many areas, it’s unbelievable. The biggest lesson, I think, was letting go of the egoistic ideal of having my first juice feast be a perfect juice one and giving up beating myself up for making mistakes. I have a renewed sense of enthusiasm for this feast.

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 34
Today’s Feast, in order of consumption:
18 oz. water w/ 1/4 TBS MSM
22 oz. green juice w/ lemon, cayenne, turmeric and pinch of salt
16 oz. green juice w/ lemon, cayenne, turmeric and a pinch of salt

16 oz. green juice w/ lemon, ginger, cayenne, turmeric and salt
4 oz. persimmon/apple juice
16 oz. spinach/apple/coconut water
20 oz. orange juice

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 32
Wow. Intensity on Day 32, holy guacamole. Yesterday was the most powerful day of my juice feast so far, perhaps one of the most powerful days I’ve ever had. I was hitting a lot of emotional stuff in the earlier part of the day – feeling really distraught and irritable. While running some errands in a nearby town, I was having, for the first time, some issues with blood sugar dropping and was getting a little dizzy. Luckily, as David has advised me, if one is in that situation on a juice feast and they don’t have access right away to juice, an emergency measure is to get one of those Odwalla juices.

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 31
Yesterday I wrote a bunch of decisions for days 30 – 60, because the second thirty days are going to be even better than the first thirty! Or so I’ve decided 🙂 I’ll be upping my exercise more, getting better rest, drinking more water, and much more!
I’ve had a chlorophyll-ish epiphany today. And it is that I’m not getting enough chlorophyll!! I’ve recently discovered that the green juices I get from the Tree of Life Cafe, while wonderful, don’t actually have as many greens as I thought – they are primarily cucumber and celery with a few greens added in. A wonderful juice no doubt, but I estimate I’m probably only getting in about 1/2 lbs of greens per day when I’m supposed to be getting 2 lbs. This will be a big shift and I anticipate great results by turning onto more chlorophyll. I also realized that my cravings for bee pollen is probably my body trying to get more protein – now I understand why!

60 Day Juice Feast - Day 30 *Halfway!*
All day today has been a prolonged experience of soaring gratitude and appreciation for me. There is nothing more rewarding, adventurous, and fulfilling as creating radiant health and non-causal happiness! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to be overflowing with the goodness and prosperity that health bring, in order to help other people. I can’t seem to find an end to my gratitude for everything in my life and the world that has caused me to follow this path and the means to be able to share it. Thank YOU for this opportunity!

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 27
Wow, now that I look at these pictures side by side, I guess I do look quite a bit different. I didn’t really notice as dramatic of a change, considering I see myself day to day. But here we go, Day 1 and Day 27 after 4 weeks on juice!! You can click on the pictures and they’ll come up a little bigger. My hair looks a little wonky in both pics, haha… time for a cut, methinks.

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 26
Today we attended a wonderful event – a day seminar by David Rain (http://www.juicefeasting.com/) and Mike Adams (http://www.newstarget.com/). Sooo much information was covered by these two awesome guys, I don’t even know where to start. David did a wonderful presentation on Juice Feasting, of course, and Mike’s talks are always great. I’ve seen Mike speak three times now – first at the Best Weekend Ever in L.A. in September, then at the Raw Spirit Festival in Sedona in October, and now here – his website is an incredible source of information – he is giving us all quite the gift with it. Among the many new things I learned today, a lot of statistics and studies were shared pertaining to David and Mike’s talks about reclaiming our health and vitality. It is estimated now that one in three children will develop diabetes.

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 25
Beaaaaaaautiful.. Today we went on a little Saturday afternoon drive to a place called San Rafael Valley (see above picture, although it really doesn’t do it justice). After winding through the moutains and hills that make up this landscape here in southern Arizona, we came up on top of this hill, and BEHOLD! Beautiful grasslands as far as you can see, with the mountains far away in the distance. It was so majestic and the energy of the area was so powerful. It sort of reminded me of pictures you see of African grasslands – just rolling hills of tall yellowish grass with the occasional oasis of trees spotting the landscape. I love how grasslands look in the wind – all these undulations and graceful movements that the grass takes on.

60 Day Juice Feast – Day 23
Ahh tonight we had an INIPI! Soo powerful, wow. It was my third or fourth inipi here at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center – we do one every new moon, aside from a few summer months when we can’t light fires because of fire hazard. But oh are they amazing! For those who aren’t familiar, an inipi is a Native American sweat lodge, in the Lakota tradition. We have a hand build small dome shaped ‘lodge’, and a fire is made several hours before the lodge is meant to begin. Inside the center of the fire they heat the rocks which are to be used for the lodge. We get ours from a river in Sedona – they are beautiful round, large gray rocks which have little holes, making them perfect for holding a lot of heat. We do a little ceremony before we enter, and then all file in. The lodge can contain about 34 people, although you are VERY squished. There is a pit in the center of the dome where the hot rocks are placed. We do four ’rounds’ during the duration of the lodge, engaging in something different in each ’round’ – it could be singing, or stories, or silent meditation. Between each round, more rocks are brought in. Water is poured on the rocks during the rounds to make it even more hot and humid. It is also completely black inside the lodge, when the door is closed – which is all the time, aside from between rounds when rocks are being placed in. The inipis probably get up to 150 – 160 degrees, although with the humidity it feels like much hotter. The inipi is known as an intense purificationof body, mind and spirit.

Today is my three-week mark! Alriiiiiiight!!
Time for my weekly intake:
I feel great overall – always increasing in clarity of mind, emotions, and decision making.
The past few days my skin has been breaking out a little around my mouth, which is rare for me. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m increasing my juice intake and exercising more.
Bowel movements have slowed down a bit but are still regular.
Less weight loss this week – only about a pound this week for a total of almost 11 lbs.
Intense cravings for bee pollen have been imminent in the last few days.
