60 Day Juice Feast – Day 21
Just found this on the blog of http://www.rawfoodrightnow.blogspot.com/: Oprah with a green juice!! Woohoo! Go Oprah!!
Today is my three week mark! Alriiiiiiight!!
Time for my weekly intake:
I feel great overall – always increasing in clarity of mind, emotions, and decision making.
The past few days my skin has been breaking out a little around my mouth, which is rare for me. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m increasing my juice intake and exercising more.
Bowel movements have slowed down a bit but are still regular.
Less weight loss this week – only about a pound this week for a total of almost 11 lbs.
Intense cravings for bee pollen have been imminent in the last few days.
Today’s Feast, in order of consumption:
16 oz. water w/ 1/2 TBS MSM
20 oz. spinach/celery/apple/grape juice w/ 1/2 TBS MSM
6 TBS bee pollen, spirulina, chlorella and hemp oil **11/09/07 – Don’t do superfood pastes on a juice feast like I did!**
32 oz. green juice w/ lemon juice, cayenne, turmeric and 1/2 TBS spirulina
28 oz. orange juice w/ 1/2 TBS MSM
32 oz. green juice w/ lemon, cayenne, turmeric and 1/2 TBS spirulina
2 TBS E3 Live
28 oz. canteloupe/apple/cranberry juice
Woo… overdid it on the bee pollen again today, but towards the end of eating the bee pollen, I felt a little sick – perhaps I’ve fulfilled my bee pollen craving in the past few days and now my body has signaled that it has had enough of whatever in bee pollen it was craving. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow.
A very kind friend of ours let us take on her rebounder for a while, as she doesn’t have space for it in her home. This brand of rebounders is the BEST out there – the entire Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center has switched to this kind of rebounder and we sell only it now. I believe it is called a Chibounder, I’ll get back to you all on that – but its about a $600 rebounder, and it is incredible. I’ve owned ‘nice’ rebounders before and they are incomparible to this one. It doesn’t even seem like they could both be in the ‘family’ of rebounders. My 10 minutes of rebounding today was so fun!
A question from a reader:
Where do you get your information about the juice feast? Also, I think you should put up a little blurb about how you make your juice with the vitamix! laterdays! josh

Alright, vitamixing your juice I do not use a juicer to make my juices – I use a vitamix blender. A vitamix, if you’re familiar, is one of the most fabulous blenders out there. While expensive, I find it a great investment because I have no need for anything in the way of juicers, and I’ve always also used it like a food processor. So, I throw everything in the vitamix with water as needed, and blend it into a smoothie. Then I have a large glass container (probably about 2 gallon container, with a wide lid) that I use. I pour the smoothie into a nut mylk bag (not the whole smoothie, but maybe about 2-3 cups of it at a time) and squeeze the juice through the bag into the glass container. I’ll empty the dry pulp from the bag and do the next amount of smoothie until I’ve squeezed all the juice from the produce. Then I pour the juice into my quart glass mason jars and I’m good to go!
