Welcome to my blog

Juice Feast Prep and Rattlesnake Adventures
Greetings to you on this last day of solid foodness for me 🙂 Synchronistically, the TOL Cafe made of their best desserts today, chocolate tiramisu, fully enjoyed by me as the last dessert for a while.
This morning I gathered a nice bunch of garden greens from our dome greenhouse – kale, chard, parsley, cilantro, spinach and snap peas. They shall be juiced tomorrow – YUM! I am excited for the added dynamic of garden grown greens to this juice feast. The last one I did was in the late autumn/winter, and the garden was mostly bare – thus leaving me with mostly imported produce from California to make juice from. This year, there is an abundance of overflowing greens and other items to include, and I have a feeling it’s going to make me EXTRASUPERCHARGED.

Emotional Eating – An Update
This afternoon I have been reviewing some of the comments and emails that I was sent back when I was writing thoughts about emotional eating, and my own journey with that, and other forms of it – compulsive eating, eating when not hungry, etc.
I realize I haven’t updated on that in a while, and I will. For those of you who are new to the blog since then, I will update you briefly. For me, it has always been food that I have used to numb, calm, distract, and occupy. I have used it to substitute for love, attention, comfort, or whatever else I have needed but haven’t yet formulated a way to get.

The Thinnest Veil
This is my 222nd post… which fits in nicely with the significant increase lately of seeing repeating numbers in my life. I have a friend, who, unfortunately for her, is always around when I seem to see them, and must endure my frequent yelps of excitement. She always asks, “Why do you do that? What do repeating numbers even mean?”.. honestly, I don’t know. But it still excites me.

Day 7 Global Juice Feast
A week of juiciness… how quickly it has gone!!
Today’s Feast, in order of consumption: 28 oz. greens/sprouts/celery/cucumber/bell pepper/apple w/ 1 TBS spirulina

Day 6 Global Juice Feast
I’ve journaled all my life, and I’ve done some really satisfying journaling on this feast. I so, so love how juice feasting is like an instant step back to look at every area of our lives with more clarity. I’m actually still reading the same book I started on my LAST juice feast – ‘Awaken the Giant Within’ by Anthony Robbins.

Day 5 Global Juice Feast
Happy happy, joy joy! Today was a day of elation for me, I felt in a very very good mood Last night I finished the night with some fruit juice, which is very unusual for me, and low and behold, I didn’t sleep as well.
Nonetheless, it was an epically perfect day in every way It feels so good to be back on juice!! YAY! I love love love the feeling of being empty. I’m actually considering going a day or two every week juice feasting for the rest of the Global Juice Feast…

Day 4 Global Juice Feast
Ahh I’ve been sleeping soooo well these last few nights since I’ve been on juice!

Day 3 Global Juice Feast – Bearin’ It (pun…)
Ooooooh I’ve been soaring today 😀
We went to the gym this afternoon and I got on the treadmill to do my thing. On the occasion that I use a treadmill (can’t beat exercising outside, but I like the consistency a treadmill provides), I usually crank up the speed to where I’d have to be running, then turn it down a tiny bit, so that I settle at a speed that is where I’m just able to super fast power walk. I feel like it burns as much energy as jogging and sometimes it feels like more, and it feels so much better on my joints.

Day 2 Global Juice Feast – Sleepin’ & Ragnarin’
Juice Feast Day 2… last night we slept a LOT… I don’t know that I’ve ever slept that much. It was likely due to a less than great sleep schedule for the past week and perhaps some detox too, but we were asleep for a good 10 hours…
Today’s Feast, in order of consumption:24 oz. spinach/celery/apple
1 TBS bee pollen
22 oz garden greens/celery/sprouts/cucumber
30 oz. orange juice w/ 2 TBS Nature’s First Food
12 oz. Amazon Herb Treasure tea with some honey
16 oz. garden greens/celery/cucumber
16 oz. garden greens/sprouts/apple juice
Total: 108 oz. juice, 120 oz. total liquid

Gettin’ Juicy With It (I bet someone already came up with that)
Well Happy DAY 1 GLOBAL JUICE FEAST!!I am above with my second juice of the day – a romaine/apple/cucumber/celery juice.
People are gettin juicy today, can ya feel it?
Today has been a spectacular day. It’s amazing, because it’s been a good two and a half months now that I did my 60 day feast, and now that I’m back into it, it feels like it was just yesterday, as if there were no interim of solids to separate the juicy experiences.

Iron Pumping & Cosmic Expansion
Are you ready!? Are you READY!?!? I’m ready. Planning to do at least one week, likely longer, and I am oh so excited.
This being the end of January, it means I’ve also just about completed a month of regular exercise, woohoo!

Exhuberant Excitements
So how has it been, since breaking my juice feast a week ago? Very interesting. Still melancholy about food – enjoying it but missing juice feasting as well. My digestion is still quite slow, but picking up.
I’ve basically been eating just salads – sprouts and greens, with spirulina, a few times a day, plus a few peices of fruit and some green juice. That’s been about the extent, and it feels good! I love love love spirulina!

Post Juice Feast Digestion, Lifestyle Integration
So I’ve had a bit of sprout with spirulina and they are SO yummy and fulfilling. I’m having some discomfort due to my digestion being slower than I expected it to, so I’m having to be really careful about what and how much I eat. I’m hoping my digestion will normalize a bit – it’s slower than it was before I started feasting.
A new philosophy that has entered my life during the Juice Feast is the transition from an all or nothing point of view to a more integrated and balanced point of view. I know that’s sort of vague, so let me explain.

Eating Intentions
I’ve been clarifying priorities for myself as I transition back to the world of eating. Some of these regard specific decisions on what and how to eat and others are more about the mindset I am choosing to maintain surrounding food and drink. I’d like to list some of them!

Feast Breaking
Ahh yes, so how has it been breaking the feast? Interesting indeed.
Prunes. Quite the interesting thing to have as one’s first real meal. Soaking them for an entire night sure makes them nice and mushy and soggy. Delectible 😉 But WOW, was I ever SO full after that first 8 oz. of soaked prunes! Had some lovely orange juice and green juice that day, which went down well.

Day 60 Juice Feast
AAAAAAAAAH DAY 60!! So I decided today that 60 feels good to me, and I’m actually looking forward to eating again. It’s gone so fast and so slow at the same time… funny how that is. I’m just so pumped to have experienced such a marvelous tool for cleansing and healing that is so easy, enjoyable, and fun!
Today I had some green juice and a lot of watermelon juice, I was sort of all over the place today so I didn’t record the exact amounts, but oh was it YUMMY!

Day 58 Juice Feast
Whew, I’m having some very interesting back pain that has flared up again. I keep meaning to record it in my blog, but for the past 2 weeks or so, every day, I’ve had varying degrees of back pain and soreness in my lower back area. This is totally unheard of for me – back pain is never something I’ve experienced. It is likely my kidneys detoxing, so I’m just waiting it out and taking it as a sign that I might need to do some sort of kidney cleanse soon.

Day 57 Juice Feast
Yes, folks, upcoming is the EPIC Global Juice Feast 2008!! I’m announcing this to my readers now so you can all start thinking about whether you might be interested in joining us! People from all around the world, including David and Katrina Rainoshek (who will be doing 92 Days) are going to be juicing it up together and transforming their health, lives, and the world! It will start in March of 2008, right about springtime, which an AWESOME time to be cleaning house, and a time for new beginnings and new life. This could be your chance to really take action to that health, body, life and world you’ve dreamed of, and the support and fellowship of other feasters during this event will be precious. I won’t be doing another long juice feast then, but I WILL be joining in on at least the first week and the last week of the Global Juice Feast. You may want to join David and Katrina and other feasters on a full 92 Day Feast, but if you just want to scope it out, feel free to join for part of it, and I’d love for anyone who wants to do something shorter to join me on my shorter feast. It is going to be amazing!
