Welcome to my blog

A Diverse Weekend in Patagonia
A nice weekend this one was. First thing Saturday… Hike up Red Mountain (that’s the glorious mountain you see in many pics of the Tree).

A Life Update
I am settling into the common nightly routine of returning to my super cozy house, putting on soft lighting and sometimes delicious smelling candles, making tea and settling in to listen to music, read, or gain inspiration online. The stars are clear and crisp and the air is fresh with fall, being that this area is right in the fullest blossoming of the season.

105degrees Academy Grand Opening – Recap
Well I am just feeling JOLLY after our epic weekend in Oklahoma City! The 105degrees Academy is going to be instrumental in revolutionizing health in Oklahoma City and elsewhere – and I mean that truly, not because of my bias as a presenter 😉
To document the trip.. First, I awoke at 4am to drive to the Tucson airport. My flights were smooth and I practiced my presentation and slept. Upon arriving at the Oklahoma City airport, the lovely Ladan Raissi greeted me and took me to 105degrees. By the time I had gotten there, the presentations had already started, and I walked in on Anthony’s presentation (sorry for the bad quality of some of these photos).

P90X Home Fitness Program – Week 5
Week 5 was spread out over about 3 weeks due to a 36 hour fever I had (first in YEARS), and computer malfunction (no playing of DVD!). Nonetheless, it is finished. It is just incredible how much strength and visible muscle tone can be lost by skipping days or a week or two of working out. Just amazing.

Quote of the Week
‘Great dreamers’ dreams are never fulfilled, they are always transcended.’

Quote of the Week
“You enter the forest at the darkest point, where there is no path. Where there is a way or path, it is someone else’s path.”

105degrees Raw Food Academy
Greetings, lovelies! Exactly one month from today, I will be giving a presentation at the new 105degrees Academy, the first center of it’s kind, in Oklahoma City. “The 105degrees Academy is the first classically structured raw and living foods educational center in the world.” The Director of Culinary Arts is Matthew Kenney, author of several cookbooks, including Raw Food Real World, Everyday Raw, Entertaining in the Raw.

P90x Home Fitness Program – Week 3 Update
Greetings! This week, I actually did week 4’s protocol. I missed week 2 due to being in Utah. So, this week the order of the workouts changed, and a new workout was introduced called ‘Core Synergics,’ which is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It includes big movements that require the whole core area to do: abs, hip muscles, upper thighs, mid and lower back, obliques, etc.

Baskin’ Among the Aspens
Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience with my infrequent posts this week! On Thursday, I returned home to Park City, Utah (no, I’m not Mormon). Not where I grew up, but I went to high school there, and my family still lives there.
It’s been quite a profound vacation, for sure.

P90x Home Fitness Program – Week 1 Update
The shifting of my getting up/going to bed times, due to the P90X has felt awesome. I’m now going to bed around 9:30 – 10:00 and getting up a bit prior to 6am. Having had a few hours of being awake, including a fantastic sweaty workout prior to going to the Tree for the day’s (awesome) tasks, makes such a big difference in my energy, attitude, and focus during the day. I feel more centered, and empowered from having already achieved something powerful by 8am.
I was super sore for the first 5 days. There were points I was so sore I could barely walk, or barely sit down, or sit up, or bend over.. depending on which muscles I had so fantastically worked recently. This morning’s workout was the 6th in a row, marking the end of week 1, and the soreness is very minimal.

Interdependence Celebration Notes
Ok, so the main topic of the Interdependence Day Celebration was on calcification; whose healing is the basis of David Wolfe’s Longevity Now program.
These notes may be a little scattered and leave information to wonder about – I highly recommend getting David Wolfe’s program. Gabriel was all about it, and keep tuned because the Tree of Life is actually going to be offering a “David Wolfe’s Longevity Now” add – on to several of their programs. I am now decked out with both the Barefoot Solutions’ floor pad and bedsheet, and it’s feeling GREAT! After the program, there are all these people opting for walking barefoot around the TOL property, despite the rather harsh and rocky terrain.

Upliftment in the Desert
Bonjour my darlings,
Monsoon season is in full throttle right now, and the green is sprouting!
The Interdependence Day Celebration was EPIC. I received such inspiration from accumulating more information and just from the energy of David Wolfe and Gabriel Cousens together. I entered the workshop intending to take notes that would make any Harvard valedictorian proud, but alas, became too enthralled in listening and watching to write. I did take SOME notes, however, and will post a few of them tomorrow.

The Fiery Ball in the Sky
Hello everyone,
I’m feeling SUMMER, if you know what I mean, and I just want to play in the pool (non chlorinated!) in the sun instead of write on the computer!
Thank you for all your positive feedback on the videos I’ve posted! My friend Puki did a really great job on the documentary, and then compiled the other short videos just for fun because she had extra footage, but people seem to really enjoy them as well! It’s odd being on camera – it was my first time!

Raw Spirit Santa Barbara – Part 2
Just thought I’d start my second post with some pictures of delicious yumminess 😉
Saturday I worked the booth in the morning, and then in the afternoon met up with my darling brother again. He and his girlfriend took me to a vegan restaurant that night: Mary’s Secret Garden. They had a selection of raw food dishes, which we all shared. We had their tacos, their sushi, and their strawberry shortcake. Super yummy! (Silly me didn’t take pics..)

Raw Spirit Santa Barbara – Part 1
Hello all! Back from the Raw Spirit Festival! Enjoy my recap:
On Wednesday, I wake early to be picked up by Chris, one of the owners of VivaPura. I went to the festival to help out with VivaPura’s booth. We bop out the whole way to epic music (on his awesome sound system), and talk and laugh the entire way. We finally found the campground the festival was held at after an hour of perusing. We met up with the rest of our crew, including Ivri, another owner, set up our tents and got into bed close to midnight.

See you at Raw Spirit!
My post on comparative cleansing will have to wait until after… RAW SPIRIT SANTA BARBARA!
I am helping out the VivaPura booth, so if you’re there, come by and introduce yourself (and sample their legendary bee pollen!)
I may not be near a computer to write while I’m there, so I’ll update you on Monday or Tuesday when I am back!
Love,
Courtney

Day 7 of Seven day Green Juice Fast and BREAK FAST!
Ahhh… This day finds me SO HAPPY! I woke up to a sunny morning, feeling clean, energetic and light! I broke my fast at the Cafe with blueberries, blackberries and strawberries, and enjoyed beautiful conversations with people whom I cherish. What a great experience this fast was!
