My January 2014 Juice Cleanse: Days 5-7
I have finished my January week-long Juice Cleanse and am glad that I did it! If you didn’t catch my recap of Days 1-4, you can read about it by clicking here. I actually found it to be the easiest winter juice cleanse I’ve done; the cold weather didn’t bother me so much this time around. I just bundled up and used a lot of blankets, and hey, who can say that’s not cozy?
The last few days were pretty much as usual also: drink juice, drink water, work, make a lot of bathroom trips.
On Day 7 though, I went on quite a long epic hike for about 2 hours. The truth is, you can do as much exercise as you want on a juice cleanse if you just drink enough juice, which is something almost everyone does not do enough of. That’s why I coach Juice FEASTING! The pre-packages cleanses do not include enough juice, either. It’s better to save your money on the pre-packaged convenience, and make your own juice, and therefore make more juice. You’ll feel a lot better. Anyways, this 2 hour hike was totally doable due to the amount of juice I had.
Speaking of pre-packaged juice, I tried this new local juice bar (picture above)
which ended up being a whopping $9 after tax (but I ended up getting one because I was out and about and needed something). I have to say, if you can find a juice bar that makes better-priced juices, maybe have that sometimes, but it is just crazy how much more expensive it is if you don’t want to make your own juice.
So, I’ve completed my January cleanse and look forward to getting back into some delicious healthy food after a bit of a transition back into food. If you are considering a winter juice cleanse, I urge you: do it! It’s totally possible. Just wear a lot of layers and use lots of cayenne pepper.
Love,
Courtney
