Community Days in Patagonia
This last week has held some fun community happenings at the Tree of Life. This last Friday was Gabriel Cousens’ 67th birthday. Or, as Gabriel likes to say in his very eternal kind of perspective, no one has birthdays, but our bodies have birthdays. Nonetheless, we held a meditation on Friday in honor of Gabriel’s birthday, and enjoyed a peach cobbler at the Tree of Life Cafe. Gabriel was in Japan, but here in spirit.

On Sunday, many of us staff volunteered in a project to clear an area near our spa courtyard for a new juice bar that will begin construction this year. So, we spent the morning hours tearing down fences, weedwhacking, moving rocks and the like. We noticed how goofy us ‘inside kids’, those of us who work inside in the office all the time, got in the midst of manual labor, power tools, and dirt. As you can tell in the subsequent pictures:

After a few hours of delicious muscular challenge, we savored the opportunity to rest at the pool, where we soaked our feet and Boaz and Aviva decided to jam out and dance poolside.
Then, the cafe staff brought brunch down to the spa courtyard/pool area, which was a nice change from, well, the cafe

Summer is coming… !!!
