The Real Sunny Delight
I love the sun. I am such a sunlover it’s unbelievable.
I marvel at the unmatchable ability of the sun to bring me to a place of such joy and happiness, no matter what my mood was prior to that.
Living a place that feels like it probably gets full sunshine 28 days of the month, I don’t know how I could ever, ever go back to living in a place that doesn’t get this sort of sunlight.
The warm climate has also grown on me. I’ve always lived in places that most definitely got very cold during winter – Vermont and the Northern Utah mountains, so Arizona is my first time living somewhere that stays as warm as 65 during the winter.
It’s just so interesting – growing up, I loved the snow so much that I always marveled at people who lived in places without snow and thought, surely they wish they could experience snow!! Their miserable lives, lived without the lovely snow!!
Ahhh, but now I know
While I occasionally miss the coziness of snow falling softly in a winter wonderland, the feeling that the raw, radiant desert sun beaming without the barrier of polluted air, is just unmatchable.
The sun makes me feel so alive, so unlimited. Increasingly, I feel like I am entering a communion, almost a relationship with whatever energy the sun holds. It dissolves any dissonant feelings incredibly quickly. There’s some part of me that can totally understand the reason why certain cultures used to worship the sun as the core of their spirituality.
And seriously, how could live, plant food grown with the light THAT ball of glory NOT be incredibly powerful!?!? DUH!
I eat my lunch on the sundeck every day
Please forgive me, I know I’m a broken record when it comes to gushing about warmth and sun…
So are you following the wonderful Juice Feasting blogs that are gracing the worldwide web with their prescence?
Since Gabriel’s “There is a Cure for Diabetes” book release, the interest in this sort of lifestyle is just exploding – the phones have been ringing off the hook in every department at the Tree. I love being a part of it and getting to talk with people who are so incredibly pumped by the power of this information.
Gabriel told me yesterday, “It’s the energy, it’s the energy that’s being created, it’s so great,” when I asked him how the book tour was. It is significant and perfectly timed that we are seeing a piqued interest and enthusiasm in greater health and a deeper and more fulilling spiritual life.
With sunlight from the soul,
Courtney
