60 Day Juice Feast – Day 48

Wow, so I almost didn’t notice that yesterday was my one year anniversary of being totally raw vegan! I have now officially been pretty close to all rawfor a whole year. What an amazing standpoint to be at. I tried to go raw for so long, it seemed like such a distant and unimaginable future where I’d find myself saying I’d done this for a year, wow!! There are so many gifts that come with

living and nourishing oneself this way, not to mention the absolute treasures of people I have met on the course of the journey!

Today’s Feast, in order of consumption:

32 oz. green leaf lettuce/celery/apple juice w/ 1/2 TBS Nature’s First Food

16 oz. pomegranate/blueberry/grape/apple juice
32 oz. green leaf lettuce/celery/pear juice

16 oz. apple/pear/mango/strawberry juice w/ spirulina

16 oz. pinneapple/dandelion juice

12 oz. pinneapple/orange juice w/ 1/4 TBS MSM

Today was a day at home, I took a nap for the first time in FOREVER, that felt really nice. Yesterday I did a workout with weights for the first time in a long time, which felt really wonderful as well – and I’m sore today! The old four hour a day swimmer would laugh at my pathetic ism, but hey, that’s how it goes  The desire within me to get in shape is stronger than ever and I am really excited for that journey! I always have this itch that bothers me knowing that I’m doing so many wonderful things for my body with diet and supplements, but not exercising regularly. As a former athlete, I know the importance of physical activity and I know the amazing feeling it brings to have a strong, fit body. Diet is only part of the equation, and in some cases, my feeling is that regular exercise may even be more important!
