New Program: 10-day Juice Feast for Healing Overeating
It allowed me some distance from the compulsions I was drowning in for enough time that I could get more emotionally sensitive to my real feelings. It was like a personal growth retreat for my own soul, in my own home.
For those with challenges in overeating, whether mild or severe, Juice Feasting can be a very helpful practice for accessing the underlying root causes of why we use food excessively. When we're embroiled in an addiction cycle it can be hard to get a wedge in the spokes of that wheel and be able to stop long enough to really work through things. A Juice Feast can help with that.
A note that I don't recommend this approach for those who have a compulsion to restrict their eating; in these cases different plans are needed.
And the great thing about doing a Juice Feast is that your body will be flooded with nutrients every day, in fact, most people get more vitamins and minerals in their bodies in a single day of a Juice Feast than they may have received in a week or even a month before, depending on how they eat. So your body will be given a great influx of nutrients, you'll become very well hydrated, and your digestive organs offered a rest. In this space, the body accelerates its repair and "housecleaning" processes.
The program will include:
-A Juice Feasting preparation call before you begin, where we review everything you need to know logistically and practically for it. We discuss how much juice to drink, what kind of juice, and we'll talk through equipment. We'll also discuss tips and tricks for making the cleanse smooth, and about supplements and superfoods. You'll be able to ask any questions you have.
-Juicing recipes incorporating a wide range of vegetables and fruits
-1-1 coaching throughout the 10 days of the Juice
Feast, which will provide support for the cleanse itself but primarily be focused on healing overeating.
-Journaling exercises that I've developed over the years, and other resources for healing food addiction. You'll have "homework" in between coaching calls where you'll spend time reflecting on your relationship with food.
-1-1 coaching through the 4 days of a post-cleanse transition phase, after you've finished the juice-only part. A transition afterwards is vital and you'll have support through this part as well. In many ways it makes sense to think of this as a 14-day cleanse.
