Do You Know How Good You’re Supposed to Feel?
Soon after I went vegan, I thought, "Wait, is this how I was supposed to feel all along?"
I'd lived a life of eating tons of animal products and refined and junk foods and drinks, and I was like a fish in water: I didn't realize I was walking around in somewhat of a nutritionally-deficient stupor.
I felt lighter and clear in my body, I felt sharper focus mentally and had the ability to focus for longer. My energy was good after having had serious energy issues for years.
Since then I've always been passionate about the fact that most people have no clue that they are supposed to feel really good all the time. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say, they might think they feel good, but their definition of that is completely skewed.
Good nutrition should be about self-love and care for the body, not restriction or self-punishment.
Taking the time to learn about how to make healthy plant-based food is an investment in self-care and self-responsibility, and better health will be a worthwhile reward.
And if you haven't ever had a good dark green blender soup before, give it a try! Raw ones are great for summer, and cooked ones are perfect for winter. Just pop "vegan green soup recipe" into a search engine to find great ideas!
