Tree of Life Wedding & Journaling
I’m excited to be featured on this week’s ‘My Way‘ at www.WeLikeItRaw.com! If you haven’t checked it out, CHECK IT OWWWT!
It was enjoyable to journal that way, and I’ve had such a good response to my recording of my daily activities and eating, that I’ve decided to do it in that same detail one day per week.
This weekend I finished my journal I have always been a journal-er, even when I was quite young. There have been times in my life where
several months or a year will pass without journaling, but I always pick it back up. It’s therapuetic for me. Often, I write my thoughts, ideas and musings, and more often its rather like a prayer book. Although I don’t use the word ‘praying’, I realize that a lot of what I write is about answers I am ready to receive, what I need clarity about, and so on. Love it. Recently, I have gone through a journal about every 2 and a half
months. I actually found a picture of my new journal (dork) —>
Today I had the lovely privelege to attend a wedding here at the Tree of Life. The bride and groom, two community members of ours, are people I’ve known for a few years, and so it was so fantastic to see them join in the union of marriage. Gabriel wed them, and his weddings are very simple, but profound. I’ve been to two now, including this one, and I just really enjoy them.
The lunch following was one of the most elaborate that I’ve seen the Tree of Life Cafe pull off – four kinds of pizza (sundried tomato, pesto, seaweed and something else..), giant fruit & berry bowls with coconut pudding, a huge salad bar, marinated asparagus, berry teas, cabbage sesame salads, broccoli and kale salads… it just kept going..
And the wedding cake? OHMAHGOSH. ‘Twas a raw vegan TIRAMISU that absolutely blew my mind. I decided right then and there that I would be happy to live off that and possibly only that for a very extended period of time (and that means no spirulina salads, mind you, thereby illustrating the ridiculous deliciousness of this cake!!)
Dreaming of tiramisu,
Courtney
