Meeting Raw Goddess Heathy!

The lovely Raw Goddess Heathy is here at the Tree!

And she’s even sweeter in person than you’d imagine

What a blessing this online community is, and how fun it is to meet people in person after you’ve been following their work. Heathy and I have both been following eachothers’ blogs!

It’s happened for me quite a few times now that I’ve finally met someone in person after knowing who they are and even being in contact for even up to a year or more.

I’ve delightedly broken down one of my dear friends here at the Tree, a rawie but unable to choke down spirulina…

You see, the trick is to try it this way – try it in salads!

For me and for many who have gotten into ‘spirulina salads,’ we’ve found that these salads are a totally different experience than eating spirulina any other way. I personally never, ever eat spirulina aside from these salads…

Try it. Ultimate world domination by spirulina salad starts with YOU, my friend!

I’m realizing that the spirulina salad ‘phase’ that I am on is not really a phase at all. For about 2 months now, EVERY single day, I eat at least one huge salad with lots of spirulina.

This is all I want and so I’m going with it. If my body would rather eat gargantuan amounts of greens and sprouts with algae and has no interest in things like raw pizza and other ‘entrees’, you bet I’m not arguing.

I eat almost the same thing every day – spirulina salads, green juice, a little chocolate superfood smoothie (no fat), and sometimes some chocolate treats. That’s it. Every once in a while I’ll digress from this and have something else.

I’m other than into regularly documenting my daily food intake, mostly because I’ve witnessed too many people (including me, in the begining) knowing the daily diets of different raw foodies and expecting their bodies to thrive on the same intake.

This sort of relates to the post I did a few days ago where I quoted Geneen Roth (read that posted by clicking here). Although Geneen, in this quote, is referring to people editing their food plans by the physical appearance of others, I think it holds true in what I’m talking about here as well.

As soon as we are looking to others for a measurement stick to what we should do, “We no longer are living the life we were given.” And I’m up front about the fact that I have totally, totally been there, looking everywhere except my intuition for clues on how to nourish myself – that’s why this topic is so important to me.

Every single person eating raw eats a bit differently, and every person out there considered a raw food authority eats differently. We all need to find what works for us and be open to what that might look like. I sure never expected to have the bulk of my diet be greens and algae.
The lovely Shanti Cousens (Gabriel’s wife) brought me a bag of dried starfruit yesterday!

I’ve never tried starfruit, it was delicious… I can imagine it would go spectacularly in some sort of trail mix… or perhaps mixed with dried gogis into some yummy concoction…

I was awarded another ‘Inspirational Blogger Award‘ by Hello, Sunshine. Thank you so much!
